By Kawase Hasui. Hasui spent his career chasing the specific quality of Japanese light at specific times of year, and this is one of the best examples. Oirase in autumn is already extreme, the gorge turns red and gold all at once, and he found the exact moment before it peaks. The original is in the Rijksmuseum.
